I Roger Montgomery designed the Niff-T-Seat®, and the NTS2 setup in the 5" or 11" elevation works best for me in all my ground hunting situations

I am 63, 6' 2" and 210 pounds, and have spent many hours hunting dove, deer, turkey, and predators using the 11" elevation 90% of the time. The 5" elevation is used for turkey hunting.

As shown, the 11" elevation (1 lb.13 oz.) is easily carried using the carrying strap and can be easily set-up with one hand without laying your bow, or gun down.

The 11" elevation is my choice to be stable, which positions my knees and elbows in good proximity to prop for a steady shooting rest, with quiet 180 degree rotation, or to be able to lay a call or apple to the ground without having to drop it.

When hunting with a rifle, I carry a staff (stick) tall enough to shoot from standing or sitting, or use a bipod (cross sticks) for long accurate shots.
